# Read a publisher

GET http://127.0.0.1:8787/api/v1/publishers/{domain}

Requires an authenticated workspace. API keys require read scope and pro entitlement.

Reference: https://mediacontext.dev/docs/developers/api-reference/publishers/get-publisher-v-1

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Clerk session with an active mapped organization and current membership

## Request

### Path parameters

- `domain` (string, required)

## Response

### 200

Success

- `data` (PublicPublisherDetailData, required)
- `meta` (PublicPublisherDetailMeta, required)

## Errors

### 400 Bad Request Error

Invalid request

- `error` (HttpErrorError, required)
- `issues` (any, optional)

### 401 Unauthorized Error

## Types

### PublicPublisherDetailData

- `domain` (string, required) — Lowercase publisher apex domain, without scheme or path
- `name` (string, required, nullable)
- `rank` (integer, required, nullable) — Ordinal global traffic rank; null means unknown
- `countryCode` (string, required, nullable) — Resolved headquarters country, ISO 3166-1 alpha-2. Not visitor geography; unresolved headquarters remain null
- `categories` (list of string, required) — Source-reported content category labels, which mix IAB taxonomy labels and manually assigned categories. These are not canonical IAB identifiers
- `managementStatus` (enum, required, nullable) — Evidence-backed inventory management assessment; null means no assessment
  - Allowed values: `self_managed`, `externally_managed`, `mixed`, `unknown`, `conflicted`
- `ownershipRoles` (list of enum, required) — Source-reported corporate roles; not independently verified legal ownership
  - Allowed values: `parent`, `child`, `independent`, `unknown`
- `supplyTypes` (list of string, required) — Reported inventory channels, such as web, app or ctv; empty means unknown
- `headerBidding` (boolean, required, nullable) — Observed header bidding presence. False requires measured technology coverage; null means unknown
- `monetizedBy` (string, required, nullable) — Assessed inventory management provider name. This is not a legal owner
- `technologies` (list of PublicPublisherDetailDataTechnologiesItems, required)
- `provenance` (list of PublicPublisherDetailDataProvenanceItems, required)
- `description` (string, required, nullable)
- `owner` (PublicPublisherDetailDataOwner, required, nullable) — Only independently evidenced legal ownership; null is unresolved

### PublicPublisherDetailMeta

- `datasetId` (string, required, nullable)
- `observedAt` (datetime, required, nullable)
- `freshness` ("unknown", required) — Freshness is not certified for this response; timestamps are evidence, not a freshness guarantee
- `warnings` (list of string, required)

### HttpErrorError

- string
- HttpErrorError1

### PublicPublisherDetailDataTechnologiesItems

- `category` (string, required) — Normalized technology category identifier, such as header_bidding or sales_house
- `name` (string, required) — Normalized observed provider name; names are not globally stable company IDs

### PublicPublisherDetailDataProvenanceItems

- `source` (string, required) — Evidence source or evidence section identifier
- `sourceUpdatedAt` (datetime, required, nullable) — When the provider says its source record changed; not necessarily a scan observation time
- `observedAt` (datetime, required, nullable) — When the source observed this evidence; never substituted with fetch time
- `fetchedAt` (datetime, required, nullable) — When MediaContext collected the source record; not the observation time

### PublicPublisherDetailDataOwner

Only independently evidenced legal ownership; null is unresolved

- `domain` (string, required) — Lowercase publisher apex domain, without scheme or path
- `name` (string, required, nullable)

### HttpErrorError1

- `code` (string, required)
- `message` (string, required)
- `details` (any, optional)
- `requestId` (string, optional)
